JRP invited to SaBRE (Supporting Britains Reservists and Employers) Event

JRP recently attended an event at Edward Brooks Barracks in Abingdon, where three serving members of 'The Rifles' delivered a pictorial presentation about their Battalion's recent tour of operations in Afghanistan.

The invitation was SaBRE's (Supporting Britains Reservists and Employers) way of thanking employers for the support provided to the Reserve Forces and the relationship that exists between the British Army, local business and society in general.

During the presentation, the speakers talked about their recent time in Afghanistan with photographs, video clips and shared experiences.

The event was attended by various local dignitaries including the Mayor of Banbury, the Mayor of Aylesbury together with the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordhsire.

JRP are proud to support such events and have demonstrated our engagement by working with other organisations such as the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) for trained armed forces personnel leavers, where companies can tap into the potential skill base and benefit from experienced and trained personnel, whilst assisting in their transition path from forces to civilian career. All recruits have the requisite training and are assessed in the same manner as potential civilian recruits.

This partnership provides JRP with an alternative potential labour pool in an area of the country where skilled operatives can be in short supply, whilst providing the armed forces leaver with a clear and controlled career transition path.
