Wastewater Asset Manager, Yorkshire Water 

‘Yorkshire Water was experiencing difficulties with an existing supplier in the provison of data collection for the receipt and treatment of tankered septic tank and cesspool wastes. This is a service which has to be right for customers, haulage contractors and for audit purposes by auditors. It is also a critical area of income for the company. JRP took over the contract and their services included a hardware update of the reception equipment, maintenance and administration of the management systems and a trouble shooting service for all 25 installations.  The provision of a web based portal for all transactions has been particularly useful for provision of information to the haulage contractors. As a result of their performance JRP have now installed sewage sludge reception equipment to provide accurate information of volumes and % dry solids of individual tanker loads. The information gained has enabled more effective use to be made of the 40 vehicle tanker fleet by targeting works leading to significant cost savings. Since takeover the performance of JRP has been exemplary and they have provided an excellent service. In addition the work that JRP have put into relationships with Yorkshire Water personnel cannot be overstated and together with very cost effective service the results of the contract are first-class.’

Capital Asset Manager, Kelda Water Services (Wales) Ltd

‘Kelda Water Services (Wales) Ltd are responsible for the operation of an efficient reception service for tankered domestic waste. We worked with JRP to install and commission equipment at 12 sites in South Wales and Herefordshire. After placing orders, ourselves and JRP had just over two months to install, test and commission the equipment. With JRP we also undertook joint training exercises with customers to ensure as smooth an operation as possible. Throughout the project, I was impressed by the commitment of JRP to providing a product that worked right on the day, as well as their continuing support to ensure issues are dealt with as soon as they arise with minimum disruption of service to customers. The project could not have gone better! We now monitor and track imports in an efficient and timely manner, complying with our legal requirements. As a result of this success, the joint team involved in the installation and training have received personal recognition from Kelda. Also, I have nominated the project, equipment and technology for a Business Excellence Award from Kelda, and have put it forward as an entry in the IWO Welsh Water Alliance Innovation Awards.’
